Fix Printer Error 0x000006be

Are you trying to connect to print queue hosted on Windows XP, Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server while your operating system is Windows Vista or Windows 2000 Server client? You may receive Error 0x000006be.



On client system users are either logged in using an Administrator account OR User account. In some cases system is not able to establish connection with the print. Following is the error message when you are logged on with Administrator Account.

Connect to Printer

Windows cannot connect to the printer.
Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006be).
Either the printer name was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.

And when you are Logged On using User Account, you receive

Connect to Printer

Windows cannot connect to the printer.
Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006be).
You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer.

This error occurs because of the fact that you are attempting to connect to HP printer. As Hewlett-Packard (HP) inter driver uses HPBmini.dll file of the previous version.

In order to fix this Error 0x000006be, you need to get the newer version of printer driver that is compatible with your operating system. To obtain a new version you should visit HP website and download driver from there.

It is recommended that you make sure the version of HPBmini.dll file before performing installation. Please double check the new driver; it should be 1.0.0.16, 1.0.0.18 or the later version.
